Hypnotherapy may support anxiety, phobias, sleep quality, habits and confidence, but it does not replace medical or psychological care when there is crisis, risk, medication use or disabling symptoms. If a GP, psychologist or psychiatrist is already involved, hypnotherapy can be considered as complementary support rather than a replacement for that plan.

Sessions are conducted via video call (Zoom or Google Meet), lasting 60 to 90 minutes. Payment by bank transfer, Revolut, or PayPal. Scheduling considers mainland Portugal and island time zones, and the first conversation aligns privacy, safe setting, therapeutic goal and signs that another kind of care should come first or work alongside hypnotherapy. We also cover simple preparation: lighting, a comfortable chair or sofa, a charged phone and a few free minutes after the call.

How to decide whether online work is suitable

Online work usually fits when you have privacy, stable internet, headphones or comfortable audio and a period without interruptions. It is also important to be somewhere safe, not driving, cooking, handling urgent tasks or splitting attention with other people. The first conversation checks these points before any paid session.

If the goal involves anxiety, phobias, sleep, habits or confidence, hypnotherapy may offer practical regulation work and rehearsal of new responses. If there is intense crisis, risk, unexplained physical symptoms, unstable medication or disabling distress, the safer route may be a doctor, psychologist or psychiatrist before or alongside hypnotherapy.

What to expect from the process

Each session combines a brief conversation, focus-setting, work with concentrated attention and guidance for integrating the experience. The expected result is not losing control or erasing memories, but building safer responses to concrete triggers. Progress is reviewed through observable signs, such as better sleep, less anticipation, facing a situation or recovering calm more quickly.

Logistics vary by country: time zone, payment method, language and availability are aligned before booking. Clients in Brazil, Portugal, Jersey or elsewhere can ask about PIX, bank transfer, Revolut, PayPal or local payment options where applicable.

When there is a large time-zone difference, we choose times that do not undermine sleep, work or family responsibilities. The aim is for the session to happen when you can be present and then have a few minutes to return to your routine calmly.

Will I lose control during hypnosis?
No. Clinical hypnosis is not external control. You remain conscious and in charge the entire time — it is a relaxed, focused state, similar to being absorbed in a book or film. You can stop at any moment.
